I bought my tiny MacBook Air about a year and a half ago, and it’s taken me this long to get a nice case for her (yes, it’s a she).
Working from home really means that I spend a lot of time traveling to and from coffee shops. Often, I’ll just throw my MacBook in a messenger bag and be on my way. Lately I’ve been noticing a lot more scratches on her, some that can be buffed out and others that add to her character. But while we’ve all got our war wounds to brag about, I’d like to keep her in tip-top shape.
Last Friday, @effyeahmedia tweeted about good-looking 11″ MacBook Air covers on Etsy. I try to limit my time browsing the site (because I will buy it all), but within 10 minutes I had chosen a design and placed my order. Well guess what arrived today?!
Usually, when making purchases with a quickness, I end up with buyer’s remorse. Often something is the wrong size or color, or I never end up using it and sell it in next year’s garage sale. Not this time, folks! I am in love.
Chevron Pocket Sleeve 11 inch MacBook Air case from Sew Wonder for $27.50.
The case is extremely lightweight, but boasts a lot of padding for my sweet MB Air. I also love the pocket on top for a bit of extra storage. I haven’t tried cramming the power cord in there yet, but it’ll fit (if you don’t mind a bit of bulkiness). If chevron isn’t your style, she’s got hundreds (literally) of other designs to choose from.
Best impulse buy ever. Well, aside from my MacBook
